Officially known as Luther City, the town of Wittenberg boasts a rich cultural and religious history. The town was the site of the Protestant Reformation, and portions of the monastery where Martin Luther lived are preserved and function as a museum. Dotted with religious landmarks, the City Church of St.Mary and Castle Church have been designated as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A historically and architecturally rich city, Wittenberg is a must-visit.
