Teatro Antico or The Ancient Theater is no ordinary amphitheater; this archaeological splendor is set against an amazing backdrop of the Etna Mountains, and traces its origins back to days of the Greek and Roman settlements. International stars like the Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga have performed at this heritage site much to the delight of the proud locals of Taormina who revel in the heady combination of music and old world charm.
