Museum Schloss Fasanerie

The former summer residence of the Hessen royalty is now a significant repository in Germany. The castle complex now owned by the House of Hesse Cultural Foundation was revived in the 1950s and was further renovated in 2010. Spread over 100 hectares (247. 10 acres), it is an enchanting interplay of artificial lakes, meadows, woods, trees and flowers. The Prince Henry Gallery showcases artworks by Enrico d’Assia or Prince Heinrich of Hesse-Kassel. The castle also hosts theatrical acts and concerts regularly.
