The Concord Point Lighthouse is the pride and joy of the city. Built in 1827, the lighthouse is the second oldest surviving lighthouse in the state. It is located at the mouth of the Susquehanna River and is operational till date. Visitors get a breathtaking view of the bay and the river from the top of this massive structure. Because of its popularity, this place is a great venue for weddings, private parties and other glamorous celebrations. Moreover, it is a site for regular school events too. Today, the lighthouse is being managed by the Friends of Concord Point Lighthouse, Inc.; who preserve as well as promote this beautiful site. Visit their website to know more.
