With a rich history of over two centuries, the University of South Carolina aims at shaping a better future. It ranks among the top universities, not only nationally but also globally. The university was founded in 1801 and it was in 1805 that the first lecture was held with only two faculty members and nine students. Today, the University has thousands of applications from all over the world waiting to be a proud member of the #UofSC family. The 444 acre (179 hectares) campus is a home away from home to its students, with housing communities, residence halls, and on-campus accommodation. Their most notable alumni include the U.S. State Senator Lindsey Graham, television personality Ainsley Earhardt, and football player Alex English, amongst others.
