Sprawled over an area spanning 70 acres (28 hectares), ZooMontana is a remarkable zoo and botanical park that comprises of nearly 58 species of animals. The only zoological park in all of Montana, the zoo invites as many as 80,000 visitors each year. ZooMontana is divided into several sections, each of them representing a distinct geographical region and harboring a specific set of animals from that region. Meander through a thicket of cottonwood trees that lead you towards the Siberian tiger and the Red Panda. If you wish to study animals such as grizzly bears, bighorn sheep, beavers and Arctic geese, then head to the North American Region of the zoo. The Zoo also comprises of the Living Wall habitats in the Discovery Center, consisting of species from diverse geographic regions, including minks, iguanas, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, and Colombian red-tailed boa constrictors, among others. Other parts of this beautiful zoo include a small petting zoo for kids, a picturesque botanical garden, and a Science and Conservation Center.
