Located on the historic Piazza del Duomo, Torre Grossa is the only tower of the fourteen existing medieval towers to be open to the public. With the height of 54 meters (177 feet), the tower is the tallest in the city and was constructed over a period of eleven years starting from the year 1300. The walls of the tower hide a belfry which is bound by a walkway that leads you to the top of the tower. Once on top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the town and the countryside locale.
