The Schloss Horst is a renowned 15th-century castle that was damaged by a massive fire but is now renowned to be one of the important architectural buildings in the city. Owned by Ministerialadelsgeschlechtes of the Horst, it is one of the oldest buildings and is a major tourist attraction among locals as well as the tourists. The in-house museum sheds light on how people lived and worked during the Renaissance period and guided tours of the museum are available too.
