Bosjökloster

Originally founded as a Benedictine nunnery in 1080, the Danish Reformation of the 16th Century saw the closure of the abbey and its transformation into a residence for nobles and elite. Little remains of the abbey, but the castle that stands in its stead is replete with markers of the many who called it home over the subsequent centuries. With a history marked by troubles and strife, Bosjökloster was burnished into the enchanting spectacle that it is today by the many historic personalities who've walked its halls; the most noted amongst there include Corfitz Ulfeldt, notorious for his apparently fickle loyalties, and the famed composer Hilding Constantin Rosenberg.
