Sitting pretty along the picturesque Jurassic Coast, the Weymouth Beach and Harbour is a relaxing getaway in the seaside town of Weymouth. The beach, with its pristine sands is one of the most visited places in the town and is regularly ranked among the top beaches in country. Apart from the usual sunbathing and swimming, visitors can take part in the number of events routinely hosted at this beach. Close-by is the historic Weymouth Harbour which is forever bustling with nautical activity. The Harbour is a recognized landmark for its excellent amenities for docking as well as for water sports like sailing. It's for this reason that it has been chose to host the sailing and windsurfing events during the prestigious 2012 Olympic Games. If you're not a fan of the sport, you can simply stroll the picturesque area, dine in one of the many cafes or restaurants and take in the brilliant sea views.
