TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, ENTERTAINMENT VENUES
Built in the 19th century, the Masonic Temple is an opulent structure that is a prominent landmark of the city. The original building was destroyed by a fire but was rebuilt and still features Moorish architecture and the beautiful reddish-brown hues characteristic of the Upper Peninsula Rock River brownstone. Today, it is a part of the National Register of Historic Places and the community holds local cultural and art events in the space, such as fundraisers and movie screenings. The building also hosts a haunted house every year where group tours are conducted.
