Arlington doesn't have any towns or sub-divisions and is considered as a a unitary authority. It was founded in 1801 and is the base of many government departments and federal agencies. The Pentagon is situated here. Since it is close to Washington DC, many travelers chose to stay in guesthouses and hotels in Arlington due to cheaper and better options. Some of the interesting sites are the Arlington National Cemetery, Iwo Jima Marine Memorial, The Fashion Center at Pentagon City and Arlington Historical Museum.
