The heart of Bruges holds the a charming site Minnewaterpark. Dating back to the 16th Century, the park was an erstwhile bleaching site and housed a neo-Gothic inspired castle and garden. Bestowed with the title "Brugge 2002, Culturele hoofdstad van Europa", Minnewaterpark is the starting point for many tourists who visit Bruges. The park is popular for its annual Cactusfestival and Feest In 't Park.
