The Piazza Grande is a central square in the town of Montepulciano featuring elegant medieval buildings and Renaissance palaces. The architecture of the current buildings dates back to the 15th and 16th centuries. Besides the historical architecture, visitors can enjoy the local cuisine at the surrounding restaurants and cafes. On every first Sunday of the month, the square becomes lively with the outdoor antiques fair.
