The Workingman's Institute and Memorial Hall is a multi-purpose community center and memorial hall located in the heart of Newbridge, South Wales. The Hall was built in 1908 by local miners who wanted to improve their social condition and the Memorial Hall was added in 1924 to pay homage to local servicemen who lost their lives in World War I and World War II. Today, the Newbridge Memo is an important community center fully equipped with a modern library and reading rooms. In 2014, an Art Deco auditorium was added to the building where musicals and theater performances take place.
