Being a part of the 12th century Taunton Castle, the Museum of Somerset showcases artifacts extracted by the Somerset Archaeological and Natural History Society who are now the care takers and owners of the castle. There are many interactive elements and sessions in the museum that takes visitors down the memory lane of prehistoric times and also projects the present day changes. There are sections for temporary exhibitions and events that include tea time discussions, outdoor theatre and music.
