Established in 1552, it is among the oldest of its kind in the world. Owned by the Fife Council, Old Course at St Andrews is a public golf course. It is no wonder as St. Andrews is where golf was born. It is also said that the game was played on this link first in the early 15th Century. This 18-hole championship link has hosted the Open Championship since its inception. The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and the Swilcan Bridge are famous landmarks in this iconic course.
