Opened in 1911, Laurel Park is an American thoroughbred racetrack which was founded by Philip Dwyer abd James Butler. It was called the Laurel Racecourse initially, after which it officially changed its name to the current one in 1994. Laurel Park has witnessed a number of stalwart wins, with Triple Crown winners like Sir Barton winning races here in their careers. Visitors at the Laurel Park can enjoy great food at the Maryland Jockey Club or the Terrace Dining Room, among other restaurants on its premises.
