Named after Richard Clarke Foster, a former president of the University of Alabama, Foster Auditorium is a spacious and aesthetically decorated auditorium and can accommodate about 3800 people at once. It is privy to numerous formal events like seminars, conferences, social gatherings, and meetings. Apart from that, it also hosts sporting events of the university teams and informal events such as concerts. This well-equipped and well-maintained auditorium is a central meeting point and extremely popular amongst the students and was given the status of a historic landmark in 2005.
