Erected in 1937, C.K. McClatchy High School was the first high school in Sacramento City Unified School District. This high school was named after Charles Kenny McClatchy, the founder of McClatchy Newspapers and The Sacramento Bee. The school building features varied architectural styles: Classical Revival, Moderne and Mannerist Revival. C.K. McClatchy High School is renowned for offering the best education in California. Along with studies, extra-curricular activities are given equal importance, to ensure overall development of the pupil.
