With a mission of exploring the natural world and understanding the ecology, the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is a center of great natural environment and zoo. Located on 180 acres (73 hectares) of land, the center features live wildlife displays, natural science programs, and lake cruises to educate the people about the natural world. Along with the outdoor classrooms, the center focuses on teaching the visitors about the value of nature, ecological concepts of interrelationships, adaptions, population and habitats.
