Film screenings, theater shows, auditions, concerts, talks, lectures and conferences are amongst many other events that take place at Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts situated inside the campus of Appalachian State University. Apart from college shows and events, local theater groups, musicians and other artists also perform here on a regular basis. Such is the popularity of this theater that popular artists like Bill Cosby has also performed at Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts amongst many others.
