Bourbon & Branch is the brainchild of chef and owner Alex Carbonell. This Northern Liberties taverna-inspired restaurant has an altar from a closed church as their bar. It has an impressive list of 80 distinct whiskeys which are served in one ouncer pegs. Besides bourbons, there are 17 draft brews and signature cocktails as well. This bi-level establishment has regular live music at their upstairs room and the eclectic line up ranges from folk to indie and bluegrass to hip hop. Their menu is a spin-off on traditional American and European taverna fares and includes with the likes of Bourbon-Glazed Seitan, Shepherd's Pie, Bangers and Mash, Beer Brined Buffalo Wings, Pulled Pork Sandwich, The Tree Hurger, 4 Pigs and The Wild Mushroom. Enjoy the happy hours with drinks like The Flaming Ricky, The Hemingway, Irish Jolly and Bueno Pinga Calor. The jam jar lights and wooden accents gives this resto-bar a cozy look.
