Lakeside Nature Center

In the southern heart of K.C., Swope Park is the place to visit if you have excursions with nature on your itinerary. Located within this grand park lies the Lakeside Nature Center, a place where naturalists can inform the community about the region, its flora and fauna as well as provide rehabilitation facilities for injured wildlife. It is a great place for those into ornithology or just like to bird watch and the center holds events such as readings, workshops, volunteerism and hiking excursions as well.
