In order to serve as a public bath, the Saltdean Lido was established in the Art Deco style of architecture in the year 1937 under the guidance of Richard Jones. This popular structure still serves the public as swimming pool to the local residents. Due to its historical background, it has been listed on the Grade II list by the English Heritage.
