Dedicated to the 13th century poet Sordello, the Piazza Sordello is one of the largest squares in the town of Mantova. Built in 1330, the square has been the center of town life since centuries now, with several administrative offices and places of worship located here as well. There is a section with Roman mosaic flooring at the southeast corner, which makes for an interesting find.
