Tintagel in Cornish means village on a mountain. It is a district with historic significance located on the coast of Atlantic Ocean. It is mostly famous for Tintagel Castle which is largely associated as the birthplace of King Arthur and the Round Table. Being one of the most-visited places in Britain, it has Parish churches, Methodist churches, castles, chapels, historical sites. Tintagel is also an important place for social and literary associations. The village has also managed to attract poignant writers like Charles Dickens, Stephen Hawker and Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
