Designated by the English Heritage as a Grade I listed structure, Wentworth Woodhouse was the former residence of the 1st Earl of Strafford, Thomas Wentworth, better known as Charles 1st's administrator. Wentworth Woodhouse was designed by Whig Magnates, an 18th century architect. More than 200 rooms are found inside this palatial house. Wentworth Wooodhouse is United Kingdom's largest country house and stands in a sprawling area of 101 hectares (250 acres). This country house is divided into two parts and its East Front covers more than 600 feet (200 yards). Nearly three acres (1.21 hectares) is covered by its buildings and courts.
