Logan Square

Logan Square is a neighborhood just northwest of Wicker Park and inside it you can find mini enclaves such as Palmer Square, Kosciuszko Park and Belmont Gardens. Named after General John A. Logan, a Civil War veteran and congressman, the eponymous square is a public green area and is dotted with majestic homes and bungalows. Some of the notable sites are the Illinois Centennial Monument, Norwegian Lutheran Memorial Church (Minnekirken), Logan Square Auditorium and St. Hedwig's. It is also the home of the annual Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival.
