South West Coast Path, Morwenstow, EX23
Built by Robert Stephen Hawker, the Hawker's Hut is a historic little hut in Cornwall that dates back to the 19th Century. It is known to be the place where the poet spent a lot of time smoking opium and writing poems. It is believed that Lord Alfred Tennyson and Charles Kingsley visited this hut. The hut is built with timber and a part of it is into the hillside. It is managed and owned by the National Trust and is the smallest property owned by this organization. The Hawker's Hut is easily accessible from the coast.
