One of the most scenic getaways on the English seaside, Ramsgate is a gem on the coastline. This 19th-Century harbor town has one of the largest marinas on the English south coast and a historic appeal. The town is well known for its natural beauty with cliffs, beaches and reefs being prominent features of the landscape. It houses one of the closest surfing beaches to London. The place is known for its Royal Harbor, a Maritime Museum and an excellent cafe culture with a number of cozy joints on the street. Head here for some surf and sand.
