Originally erected in 1827, Elisenbrunnen is a representation of Aachen as a spa town. Designed and styled by architects Cremer and Schinkel, it is known to be a drinking fountain with special powers to heal. Today's structure is a replica of the original building which was destroyed during the World War II. An architectural gem, this exquisite rotunda building with its porticoes and fountains is a sight to behold.
