Ziegeleipark Mildenberg

Ziegeleipark Mildenberg houses both a museum that showcases the local industrial history and a park with landscaped gardens, train rides and picnic spots. In the late 19th Century, Berlin was urbanizing at an alarming rate and there was a dire lack of building materials. Explorers unearthed clay deposits at the town of Zehdenick and this area transformed into Europe's largest brick-manufacturing zone. Today, the museum exhibits help visitors understand the special production techniques and industrial development unique to this region. In the surrounding garden, one can enjoy lakeside picnics and unwind at the on-site beer garden.
