St Giles House is the ancestral residence of Ashley-Coopers, also referred to as Earls of Shaftesbury. This ancestral house is also the business center of the aristocratic, conservative Ashley-Cooper family, who also own the surrounding estate along with the house. St Giles House was built in the year 1651 and is nestled in a sprawling park where River Allen silently flows. Though the architect of this 16th Century house is not known, the house seems to be inspired from Inigo Jones and Renaissance style is obvious in the north end while the east front features Classical facades.
