Seligenstadt

Seligenstadt is one of the oldest towns in Germany. Steeped in history with many heritage structures, well-preserved half-timbered houses, and some of the most beautiful landmarks in the country, the city is a treasure trove of antiquity. Translating into "The City of the Blessed", the old town is characterized by its houses and restaurants with elegant floral decorations along old cobbled paths and idyllic squares. The spectacular Einhard Basilica and Kloster Seligenstadt define the historical landscape of the town. Culturally just as rich, the Rosenmontag Carnival Parade, which marches through the scenic parts of Seligenstadt, is also a major tourist attraction.
