The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum, located in the ex-mining town of Eastwood, is the childhood home of author D.H. Lawrence. The home now converted gives an intimate look into D.H. Lawrence's life in the early days and the lovely landscapes mirror the influences the author's childhood had on his life and books. For visitors, there are guided and self-guided tours along with self-led local walks. The authentically restored miners' cottage, where the controversial life of D.H. Lawrence began welcomes all bibliophiles as well as architects to get a sneak-peek into the life of the celebrated author.
