Established in the year 1905, Swiss Alpine Museum houses an extensive collection highlighting the culture and the changing weather of the mighty Swiss Alps. Exhibits at this museum span various areas including meteorology, glaciology, tectonics and geology. Visitors can also explore a wealth of items related to settlements, folklore, agriculture and cartography of Alps. Over 180 paintings, 600 prints and 20,000 artifacts grace the shelves of Swiss Alpine Museum. Educational and thematic events allow guests to explore the geography of the region in a holistic way.
