Munsterkerk is an important religious structure that is known for its attractive architecture. It was designed in the 13th Century and reflects Late Romanesque architecture that was prevalent in Netherlands in those days. The church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 1992, it was struck by an earthquake, damaging two turrets which were renovated later. One of the most notable elements of the church lies in its clover-shaped eastern side. Its interiors are equally remarkable with fine art pieces and the royal mausoleum of Count Gerard IV and his wife, Margaretha of Brabant.
