Located on the banks of Lake Maggiore, the beautiful Italian town of Arona is a popular tourist destination for its historical castles, parks, statues, monuments and churches. It has also been the site of various archaeological excavations as traces of civilizations from the Celtic, Roman and even the Bronze era have been found here. Many summer activities are popular among visitors as boating and swimming is done in the nearby lake. At night, some of the town's most majestic buildings light up which makes it look like a magical place.
