Originally constructed in the 11th Century, Heeswijk Castle is an erstwhile moated fortification found close to Heeswijk. In the later centuries, the structure lost many of its original features and a citadel was built on its site. Now converted into a museum, the castle can be explored through guided tours. Visitors can explore Knight's Hall, Baron's Library and the Chinese room. Other interesting areas to marvel at include the old servant's room and Tower rooms. The castle museum offers a wonderful glimpse into the town's daily life during the medieval ages.
