Messina, which is the capital of the Messina province, is a bustling city of beautiful architecture, relaxing cruises, fine wines, citrus fruits and olives. The city dates all the way back to 8th Century BCE when it was a colony of Greece. Since then, the city also saw Roman, Goth and Norman rule before finally becoming an archdiocese. The city has many beautiful churches, palaces, fortresses, monuments and other beautiful architectural structures. It also has a gallery which houses beautiful paintings by famous Italian painters.
