Sospel’s history can be traced back to as early as 5th Century and has played an important role, in both political and economic contexts, as it connected Nice to Turin. Do not miss visiting the old bridge, which was used for tolls, dating back to the 12th Century. After the World War II, Sospel was majorly renovated, however, it still houses the ruins of the historic tower and the castle.
