With a minimalist population of approximately 1,102 people, the Dornoch is a town in the highlands of Scotland. It is predominantly a seaside town and proffers fine scenic views of the sea. The name Dornoch originates from the fist sized pebbles that may have been there in the town at a certain point of time. The Dornoch Cathedral is one historic and religious site that rests in the town which was built in the thirteenth century. Two other sites of public and tourist interest that are present in the town are the Dornoch castle and the Royal Dornoch Golf Culb, which is one of the best golf courses in the world.
