Privately owned, Jardins d’Albertas was established in 1751 by the first president of Aix-en-Province, Jean-Baptiste Albertas, and has remained in his family. Though it fell into despair, it was restored by Jean d’Albertas in 1949. Located in the Bouc-Bel-Air town, the garden is beautifully landscaped with fountains and classical statues like that of Hercules and David. This fusion of Italian and classic French styles determine the other features of the garden, like the grotto and grand canal.
