Located on the coastal region of the Mediterranean Sea, Menton dates back to the paleolithic era and was first mentioned in a 13th-century record. This quaint town is also known as the Pearl of France. It is famous for its several beautiful gardens such as the Jardin Serre de la Madone and Fontana Rosa. Some other interesting sights are the Saint-Michel Archange Basilica, Russian Church, Bastion Museum, Belle Époque and Jean Cocteau Museum.
