TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
One of the oldest villages of Cinque Terre, Manarola is a postcard-perfect destination. Occupying a high rock along the harbor, the village comprises a bunch of tightly knit vibrant abodes. Believed to have been christened after the historic water wheel, the village can be traced back to 1338 CE. Chiesa di San Lorenzo remains one of the most popular attractions of the town, requiring a hike up the highest point of the village. The Port of Manarola, although intimate, makes for an ideal spot to go deep-water swimming. Trailing along the hillside or touring the vineyards are some of the activities that can indulge in here.
