Loyola Park

Overlooking the beautiful Lake Michigan, Loyola Park is spread out over 21.5 acres (8.7 hectares) and features several facilities and recreation spaces including a well-equipped field house with gymnasiums, boxing center, wood shop and club rooms. Visitors can walk or jog along the beach-side trail with incredible views over the water, activities at the park include everything from sport, track, dance, softball, activity camps and more. Special recreation programs for those with disabilities has made it one of the more accessible and inclusive city parks, adults and seniors too have plenty of programs to enjoy. Craft, wood shop, dance and writing workshops are all offered through the year making it a vibrant cultural space. Don't miss out on spotting the Windform sculpture created by artist Lynn Takata, the area around is perfect to lounge with a book or for kids to clamber over. With plenty of annual festivals and events, the park is a vibrant social, cultural and outdoor space.
