Having won the coveted title of New Jersey's top golf facility by Golf Digest Magazine in the year 2009, the prestigious Knoll Golf Club is easily one of the prime attractions of Morris County. First established in the year 1929 with the efforts of a handful of influential locals who wished to have their own golf course in Boonton, Knoll is counted as one of the first-rate golf links of the green state. Spread across a sprawling area of 339 acres (137.18 hectares), it primarily comprises of two, well-laid out 18-hole courses, called Knoll West and Knoll East. A public attraction, tee times at Knoll are determined purely by first-in policy.
