Blasheimer Marktplatz is a huge expanse of land off highway B 65. It is the base of the much awaited annual fair, Blasheimer Markt, hence its name. It began as a cattle market in 1569 and is now one of the biggest folk festivals in the region. The fairground dons a festive look for this event and features several attractions like fun rides, marquees, live music, food stalls, shops and a trade show.
