Les Jardins Suspendus is a play of vibrant colors. Occupying more than 15 hectares (37 acres) of land, this garden is home to more than 3000 varieties of plants. The garden, through its layout and design pays tribute to Charles Alexandre Lesueur, an exemplary French explorer. The famous Fort Sainte-Adresse which gives this place its historic character can also be found on the same sight. A stroll through this vast expanse of natural beauty will get you acquainted to numerous plant life and you can learn in detail about them at the on-site greenhouses. In all Les Jardins Suspendus has six gardens and all of these are centered around unique themes. For example, fragrant plants can be found at the Jardins de la Promenade Basse and plants from the southern hemisphere occupy most of Jardin Austral.
